Admitting
/ Discharge / Transfer
Module
Overview
The
Admitting/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) module controls the movement
of in-patients within the hospital. This starts with the pre-admission
routine that provides advance information on patients scheduled
for admission.
The
ADT module is closely coupled with the HTC Central Patient Index
(CPI) module. It provides the authorized system user with up-to-date
information on patient status, expected admissions and discharges,
overstays, etc. It also provides information on hospital resource
management such as bed availability, and transfers discharge data
to the integrated HTC Health Records Abstracting module or third
party system.
